Worlds of RoL
Rise of Legends™ boasts three completely unique races that you can lead to victory. In this section, we explore the industrious Vinci, the mystic Alin, and the enigmatic Cuotl. Delve into the characters and cultures that populate the world of Rise of Legends and learn about the stories behind the game.

The Cuotl

Little is known of the inhabitants of the Cuotl jungle, but all that is known is feared. There are legends of the Cuotl being visited by the chariot of the gods a thousand years ago, but the people themselves had always been little seen, until recently. Now, commanding powers that can be explained by neither Alin mystics nor the strongest minds of the Vinci academies, the Cuotl have made their presence, and their intentions, unmistakably known.

The lands of the Cuotl are filled with steaming jungles, towering trees, and fetid swamps. Visitors are discouraged from exploring this inhospitable place, as they encounter everything from stinging insects to horrifying diseases. The provinces of the Cuotl are neatly divided, with the borders being defined by unseen energies rather than topography. Despite the overreaching power of the False Gods worshipped by most Cuotl, divisions still run deep among the people. Tribes war upon each other for control of valuable resources, to expand their dwindling territory, or due to the whims of the enigmatic False Gods.

The Cuotl’s civilization utilizes strange powers and energies that even they do not fully comprehend. Although Timonium is crucial for these “machines” to function, faith, belief, and willpower seem to be just as important for them to function.

National Power

The Cuotl control powerful and exotic energies, which they and wield these on the battlefield. The National Power of the Cuotl is Star Bolt, which reveals hidden areas of the map and creates an aura of light that does significant damage to enemies. In order to use Star Bolt, a player must first spend Research points to purchase the Divine Power track, below.

Technology Tracks

The technology tracks of the Cuotl reflect both their deep faith in the False Gods and their command of strange, powerful energies.

Worship: The Worship technology track increases the Holy Ark’s health, ability to heal other units, and Channel Power effects, and improves Fanes.

Zeal: The Zeal technology track provides free Sentinel units at the player’s starting City. It creates Sentinel units faster and improves the attack power of units, Obelisks, and Sanctuaries.

Judgement: The Judgement technology track increases Timonium income, improves building shield strength and regeneration. It also lowers the cost of Subjugation and captures defending units alive.

Divine Power: The Divine Power technology track enables the National Power of Star Bolt and increases Energy income.

Cities and Districts

The cities of the Cuotl are glorious to behold, yet strange and alien to the eye. The energy that powers these cities is capable of amazing things, from generating powerful shields, destructive blasts, and even levitation. The corridors and streets of Cuotl cities are filled with the constant prayers and chants of the priests and faithful.

Military District: Military Districts increase Population Cap, create Sentinels at Large/Great Cities, and improve City’s defenses. They also enable the City to self-repair. Military Districts grant 1 Research Point when added.

Holy District: Holy Districts increase attrition and border push, and grant one free Holy Ark. They also heal units within friendly territory. Holy Districts grant 1 Research Point when added.

Reactor District: Reactor Districts increase Energy gathering and Resource Cap. Reactor Districts grant 1 Research Point when added.

Palace District: Palace Districts increase a City’s size, health, trade value, and Border Push. It enhances other Districts’ effects. Palace Districts grant 2 Research Points when upgrading to Large City and 3 Research Points when upgrading to Great City.
