Buildings of the Alin
As masters of fire, glass, and sand, the Alin use these materials to build their amazing cities and buildings—their magic makes these impossible structures not only stand, but to reach breathtaking heights. The mystic energies used to craft these buildings can be quickly summoned, although the buildings themselves are slightly more vulnerable to harm than those made from iron, brick, and mortar. The Alin require Timonium for the magical power that it produces in order to raise their buildings.
The following buildings are available to each Alin player at the beginning of the game. During the course of the game, a player can spend Timonium and Wealth to upgrade the types of units produced by these buildings. The Initial Cost listed shows the price for purchasing the first building of its type—pricing increases for each additional building.
Circle of Fire
Initial Cost: 75 Timonium
The Circle of Fire produces Flame units. A Circle of Fire can be built anywhere, even in neutral and enemy territory, although the price goes up considerably if you build outside your own territory. It can be upgraded to a Lush Circle; this gives the circle extra hit points, and turns it into a supply source, which prevents Attrition to your units within its radius of effect.
Circle of Glass
Initial Cost: 75 Timonium (Requires: Glass Citadel)
The Circle of Glass produces Glass units. A Circle of Glass can be built anywhere, even in neutral and enemy territory, although the price goes up considerably if you build outside your own territory. It can be upgraded to a Lush Circle; this gives the circle extra hit points, and turns it into a supply source, which prevents Attrition to your units within its radius of effect.
Circle of Sand
Initial Cost: 60 Timonium
The Circle of Sand produces Sand units. A Circle of Sand can be built anywhere, even in neutral and enemy territory, although the price goes up considerably if you build outside your own territory. It can be upgraded to a Lush Circle; this gives the circle extra hit points, and turns it into a supply source, which prevents Attrition to your units within its radius of effect.
Eternal Flame
Initial Cost: 100 Timonium
The Eternal Flame allows upgrading of flame-themed units, such as Afreets, Salamanders, Fireswarms, and Rukhs. It also extends your National Borders and upgrades Circles of Flame.
Glass Citadel
Initial Cost: 150 Timonium
The Glass Citadel allows upgrading of glass-themed units, such as the Glass Cannon, Glass Spider, Glass Golem, and Glass Dragon. It also extends your National Borders.
