Heroes of the Vinci

The city-states of the Vinci have produced many notable heroes in their time. But in this current age of conflict, three stand out as the true Heroes to their people. Each Hero moves about and fights in a unique clockwork war machine, which showcases the intellect and mechanical aptitude of the Vinci. The following Heroes are available when playing a Quick Battle, though there are many other Heroes that join your cause when you play the Campaign.

Giacomo Giamba—Inventor of Miana

The city of Miana has a long history of producing inventive geniuses—Giacomo Giamba is one of its proudest sons. Charging into battle in his mechanical Clockwork Suit, Giacomo has a variety of ingenious battlefield devices at his disposal.

Powers

Giacomo’s unique abilities are both offensive and defensive in nature and emphasize his sheer brilliance with machinery. Many of Giacomo’s powers use a large, moveable circle to define the range and area. Giacomo improves clockwork units and provides 1 Research Point when he arrives or levels up.

• Augmentation: Heals allied units.
• Demolition Team: Summons bomb-laden Clockwork Men.
• Sonic Burst: Creates a destructive wave of sound that knocks the enemy of their feet.
• Super Armor: Blocks a wide area from most enemy damage.

The Doge—Ruler of Venucci

Though lacking Giacomo’s innate brilliance, the Doge of Venucci has a powerful array of technological weapons that compensate in power for what they lack in elegance. The Doge’s powerful Battle Command Walker is a perfect representation of his aggressive nature.

Powers

Brash and warlike, the Doge shuns protective abilities in favor of devastating offensive powers that rain destruction down upon his enemies. The Doge improves Steam Cannons, Juggernauts, and all units built at the Glorious Statue.

• Doge Hammer: Fires a variety of massive artillery rounds that can either target a specific unit or building or have an area of effect.
• Pain Ray: Fires a concentrated beam of energy at an enemy unit.
• Poison Cloud: Creates a toxic fog that damages enemies.
• Siege Laser: Fires a concentrated demolition beam at an enemy building or City.

Lenora—Pirata Captain

Lenora is chief among the leaders of the Pirata Houses. Her skill as a pilot is legendary, but even those tales are exceeded by her reputation as a ruthless competitor in business and sport.

Powers

Lenora’s powers are mostly aggressive and offensive, as befitting such a queen of the skies. Lenora provides extra Wealth income and increases the range and line of sight of Aerodrome units.

• Boosters: Enhances Lenora’s speed, health, and attack power for a short time.
• Cluster Bomb: Scatters powerful bombs across a wide area.
• Piracy: Captures enemy units and brings them under Lenora’s control.
• Sky Burst: Does massive damage to other air units.
